The Department of Sociology was established in 1971. Prof.Rawasaheb Selar had worked in the department from 1976 to 2005. There after Prof.S.R.Manza, Dr. Fulchand Salampure rendered his invaluable services as an Assistant Professor in this department. At present Dr.S.R.Manza, Mr. Vikram Bhutekar is working as the faculty.
The response from the student was good and about 120 to 150 were admitted now the total strength of the student .Two full time Teacher is working in the department. The department deals with the Rural sociology, Indian social problem, Industrial sociology, Social thoughts& Research Methodology.
- Aims and Objectives
- 1)To generate awareness about social work among students
- 2)To make responsible social workers for human welfare
- 3)To bring out awareness among students in order to eradicate social destructive evil deeds.
- 4)To inform our students about the availability of various opportunities in competitive examination.
